We are proud to introduce our Orthopedic Director, Michael E. Miller, MD. Board certified in Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. Miller specializes in the medical treatment of injuries, diseases, and other conditions of all bones and joints. He provides expert care for patients from simple to severe musculoskeletal injuries and related complications. Dr. Miller completed his fellowship at Berg Sloat Fellowship, Orthopaedic Research and Education Foundation; his residency at University of Alabama Medical Center, Birmingham, AL; and medical education at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY.

Comprehensive Approach
We understand that recovery takes a variety of solutions. Our care involves medical services, therapy and educational support. During your stay, we may encounter a situation that requires additional medical care, and we are equipped to provide the necessary services.
Many injuries require physical therapy of some kind. This includes exercises to reduce pain, decrease swelling, and improve ambulation. We also help with post-surgical needs and rehab for stroke or cardiac issues. If assisted devices are required, we provide training for the best functional mobility.
Many of our residents need some type of occupational therapy to help them return to their routines. This includes regaining independence with daily living activities as well as learning to adapt based on a specific injury.
Speech therapy consists of a variety of services, based on the patient’s needs. This may include regaining skills involving communication, reasoning, and memory.
Once a patient is released from our center, continuing care and adaptation may be necessary. That is why we provide on-site education and training for family members. This allows them to proactively participate in particular needs or activities to enhance the patient’s transition to real life.
